Ow. Ow ow ow.

See, yesterday I cut my finger on the lid of a pineapple can. It bled a little bit, I cleaned it out, and put a bandaid on it. All well and good. Only just now, I took a shower, and used the otherwise wonderful Lush Oceansalt on my face, which contains (as the name might hint at) - salt, and as I was rubbing it on with my fingers some got into the cut (which had apparently opened and is now still bleeding) and it fucking hurt. I now know what they mean by pouring salt on wounds.

And now I shall head downtown to get more knitting yarn and needles (I LOST one of mine, haven't been able to knit for DAYS (or day) woe is me!) and spend my gift certificate at A&B sound! :D And maybe see if I find something nice on sale ;)

I have returned!!
... technically I returned last night, but the results are the same. And if you want to know where I returned from (of course you do!) then I spent Christmas with cirakaite's family, with said cirakaite and a effervescent and two cats as well. It was nice! There was good food and a christmas tree and a whoooooole bunch of rain and playing of cards and boardgames and knitting and other fun stuff. Can't really say I missed the internet at all, other than being able to look up stuff on imdb.com whenever I felt like it ;)

But so yes. My flist is as skip=somethingquitebig, so I don't know how diligent I'll be in going back and reading all, so let me know if there's anything incredibly important that I should see :D But knowing me, I'll probably at least skim most of it.

got lots of pretty christmas presents :D But am too lazy to type it up now, so that'll wait for another post. Except maybe for the highlights. I got a printer!!!!! And a gift certificate in A&B sound! and then doingfirst got me the first Ark album which is amazingly wonderful and I love it :D *listens*

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I am back, I know you must have missed me terribly ;) even if that couldn't be seen by my inbox when I returned, it was mostly spam >:O

Edit: also, I've been doing a bit of defriending lately. Just letting you know that feel free to defriend me in return, or just in general, if you wish! No hard feelings. I don't use this journal that much anymore :P

- Have also been productive, and the house is actually clean! yay!
- Have fallen in love with Sufjan Steven's Illinois. SOamazingomg.
- Got a card from crackling! Opened it on the bus, and nearly had glitter fall all over me. Ohmygodkhasyouaresocute. Marry me?
- My mom sent me cookies! And new mittens! And my ickle brother wrote me a card! Socute.
- GIP! I love Milla Jovovich.
- Boiled and salted soy beans are love.
- That is all.

It has been brought to my attention that Christmas is close.

*looks at date* holy fucking cow, REALLY close. Omg. I hadn't been paying ANY attention. Bad christmas, sneaking up on me like that!

... think I should start preparations? I could at least go and buy christmas cards... presents? what is that? sending stuff over to Europe? what's that? Uh, never heard of it. Nuh uh. (And for us christmas is on the 24th and they're 8 hours ahead TOO so there's less time wah!)

Maybe I should take up knitting.

edit: also! there's still a chance for christmas cards! :D Even if they'll look more like new years cards now... :P Just go here!

So, I was in the kitchen, and when I came back in here to check my comp - the A key was missing. Like, seriously, there's just a random hole in the keyboard. I found the key on the floor - and it's broken. I can use the a key (obviously) by just pressing on the rubber thing - but it's extremely uncomfortable.

I mean - wtf?! Was it the cats? or did the button just suffer from midlife crisis and decided to off itself? Or do I suffer from amnesia and actually randomly plucked the key out without remembering it at all?

And the weirdest part - this is a NEW KEYBOARD. It was replaced like a WEEK ago.

I am so confused.

GLP!! (gratuitous layout post) heeee, am having fun with my layout ;) am randomly trying different things, and threw together a header, just to see how it would fit in ;) I am so funny, ahaha. You may laugh now. Am, however, probably not going to keep it, as no icons show up in comments. Which is just incredibly stupid. So, unless someone can tell me how to fix it then it won't stay :P

Also, I don't know whether to name myself an Ikea Genius or Ikea Idiot. Because I have a bed!!!!! It's wonderful and amazing and I love it and can't wait to sleep in it tonight :D single bed with a king size duvet ;) it's like, twice the size of the bed and it's amazing. No more having my toes stick out from underneath! :D

however, right now we're putting together effervescent's new dresser and uh, Isortofdidthesamething. :"> put a pin in the wrong hole, and then it was too big and wouldn't go out. And this wasn't like yesterday, when I could just chip off the pin so it would fit, because a screw was supposed to go there! (and ohgod, is there possible to get any MORE gutter comments out of talking about putting together furniture? At least doing a bed is better than doing a dresser...) But hee, effervescent managed to get it out, so all is well :D

it's amazing how much more SPACE there is now that the huge futon I'd been sleeping on is gone. And the cats are having masses of fun with both the newfound space and the new thingies in the room ;) They are such cute ickle babies.

Also - don't believe I've announced it so far. But school is over!!! all papers done, all finals done, everything. Wheeeeeeeeee. My time table for the next semester is also looking very good, and ee, am excited. I only have one grade so far, exactly what I expected it to be, but I want my other ones, damnit! Am pretty sure I did okay, but probably not as well as I could have. But hey, story of my life ;)

Also! Music! My new love: The Ark. Looooooooove them. And not just because they're swedish ;) even if I have been known to be biased in that direction. Also!! The Editors!! they remind me of Interpol and are cool. *nods*
